ABOUT THE CONFERENCE

Smart Electronics and Communication Technology is essential and instrumental to reality in the today's context of technology driven world. In particular, these technologies leverage unheard innovative and creative opportunities to improve our quality of life. The increasing coverage of Electrical, electronics and communication technologies is driven by growth and to integrate, analyze, visualize and transform new novel engineering ideas. This International Conference on Smart Electronics and Communication (ICOSEC 2024) organized on 18-20, September 2024 by Kongunadu College of Engineering and Technology, Trichy is solely dedicated to create a conceivable platform for researchers, academician and scientists to interact and exchange the research ideas and results to develop a cost-effective and scalable Smart Electronics and Communication methods into existence.

ABOUT THE COLLEGE

Kongunadu College of Engineering and Technology (KNCET) is an Autonomous, self-financing Engineering College established in the year 2007, Approved by AICTE, New Delhi, Affiliated to Anna University, Chennai, Accredited by NBA (CSE, ECE, EEE & Mech), NAAC, Recognized by UGC with 2(f) & 12(B) and Certified by ISO 9001:2015. Permanent affiliation has been obtained for ECE, Mechanical, CSE, EEE & Civil departments. The institution is following 5 S Concepts.

The College has 9 UG courses such as Agricultural, Artificial Intelligence and Data Science, Biomedical, Civil,CSE,IT, ECE,EEE,Mechanical Engineering and 2 PG courses, Applied Electronics and CSE. Anna University has approved the research Centre to Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering. A Separate department Campus to Corporate is to train the students in the area of communication, soft skills and aptitude etc., through which obtaining top notch placements with the facilitation of diverse options in IT industries, core industries, ITES and startup firms respectively.

Received research grants from various funding agencies for doing projects, establishing MODROBS labs, organizing FDPs, STTPs, National and International Conferences, Seminars and Workshops.The College has signed MOUs with Industries, academics, hospitals and R&D Institutions. Various Professional societies, clubs and cells are supporting students to become industry ready graduates, to do higher studies and to become successful entrepreneurs.

The Institute places a strong emphasis on students' overall development and offers them all the resources and services necessary to support it. The institute has been concentrating on the overall development of students while aiming for excellence in education and meeting the quality requirements set by accrediting and regulatory organizations, as is evident from its vision and mission statements. A specific strategic plan is followed for faculty members and students to update their technical skills, promote innovations and research and developmental activities.

Activity based training activities such as value added courses, project development and technology updating relevant activities through center of Excellences, communication and aptitude skill developments are being conducted and a specific hour has been allocated in timetable through which top notch placements are being provided in IT industries, core industries, ITES and startup firms respectively. NPTEL and IIT Spoken tutorials are being followed by faculty members and students to update their latest technologies and upgrade their technical skills. Japanese Language Coaching is being provided for students to provide placement opportunities in Japanese countries.

Various professional societies, clubs, and cells help students become graduates who are ready for the industry, pursue higher education, and to become prosperous Entrepreneurs. MSME Incubation Center, Institution Innovation Council and Unna Bharat Abhiyan (UBA) schemes are approved by the Government of India for promoting Innovations, Entrepreneurship and Intellectual Property Rights. Students are motivated to participate in hackathons to develop their innovative skills and turn their concepts into working prototypes that can help to create developed products.

Internship, In-plant Training and Industrial Visits are arranged based on subjects for enhancing the Industry –Institute activities. Experts/Alumni interaction classes are invited for talks and interaction about recent innovations to our students through clubs, cells and department associations. Adjunct faculty members are nominated from companies to mentor our students in cutting-edge technologies.

The sports teams have won many prizes in various events at National level including Zonal, Inter Zonal and University level Sports Championship. The College attracts outstanding students by virtue of its discipline, modern infrastructure, library and faculty members.
